Saguaro National Parks
Tucson is home to the nation’s largest cacti. These majestic, giant saguaros, found only in a small portion of the United States, are protected by Saguaro National Park, to the east and west of Tucson. Here you’ll have a chance to see these enormous cacti silhouetted by the beauty of a magnificent desert sunset. Or enjoy a roadside picnic or nature hike in a stunning landscape. *TIP: Take plenty of water with you, and tell the front desk or family member if/where you plan to hike, and when you plan to return.
