Ring in the New Year at The Westin La Paloma

The end of the year is quickly approaching and The Westin La Paloma Resort & Spa has the perfect New Year’s Eve celebration. Guests will begin the evening with a gourmet four-course meal, then dance the night away to live music, and even have a safe place for the kids while welcoming in 2016. The Tucson resort is the consummate, picturesque setting to end the year on a high note, surrounded by the majesty of the Sonoran Desert, fun, food, and good company.

AZuL Restaurant will offer a special New Year’s Eve 4-Course Tasting Menu from 5 to 10 p.m. on Thursday, December 31. The elegant, contemporary meal, prepared by Executive Chef Russell Michel, is a true foodie feast with something for everyone, including vegetarian options. For the main course, diners can choose from Pan-Roasted Natural Beef Tenderloin, Jumbo Lump Crab Cake and Colossal Shrimp, Berkshire Natural Pork Chop, or Portabella Pave. The Tasting Menu is $98 per person and includes a complimentary sparkling wine toast.

After dinner, head over to AZuL Lounge for live music and hand-crafted cocktails to ring in the New Year. Jazz saxophonist Neamen Lyles will kick off the bash, performing from 6 to 9 p.m. The George Howard Band will follow, playing from 9 p.m. to 1 a.m. and taking the party into 2016 with their mix of blues, rock, jazz, pop, R&B, and Motown.

Parents have the option of dropping the little ones off at the Westin Family Kids Club New Year’s Eve Party for a celebration of their very own. The Westin Family Kids Club will provide an on-site space at the resort for children to safely enjoy the holiday from 6 p.m. to 12:30 a.m. while parents fete nearby.

Plan on staying overnight at the resort to enjoy the New Year’s Day Buffet at AZuL the next morning. Start the first day of the year with the buffet from 8 a.m. to 1 p.m., featuring a delicious Bloody Mary Bar and an impressive variety of food offerings that will deliver a satisfying kick-start to the New Year. Guests can take advantage of an offer to stay two nights and receive a complimentary third night stay, and make a long weekend of the celebratory occasion.
